Octopus keeps prices virtually the same from 1 July

I received an email from Octopus just 10 hours before the new prices came into effect.  Instead of there being any reduction in my IOG tariff, the unit prices remained identical!  A penny or so was shaved off the standing charge - giving a total reduction for the year of £7 on my electricity bill.
Those who see a price drop of 7% can count themselves very lucky.

Why are you surprised? Ofgem only set the SVT price. Suppliers are free to charge what they like on other tariffs.

2.029p saving on standing charge here on IOG.
Not bothered about unit rates going down, given a monthly average unit cost between 15 & 12p kWh. Which  is well under any variable tariff & at a guess any fixed tariff.

^ This. IOG is, comparatively speaking, a bargain.
