Digi camera battery

I use Uniross 2x2500mAh Ni-MH batteries (with a Uniross charger) for a Panasonic DMC-LZ5 still camera. When the charger stops charging the camera indicates the batteries are half charged. When the camera is in replay mode the batteries are flat in about 15 minutes.
Is this normal and if not which battery brand is best?
ps. just noticed that camera spec gives power consumption as 0.7w in playback so I should get at least 2 hours life. Suspect that batteries are not 2500mAh.

It seems like you may have a faulty charger, Uniross Batteries are usually fine, certainly 2500mHa are up to the job.

That is assuming the batteries are genuine Uniross, not eBay copies.
