Drayton Wiser Setup

Options

Hi everyone,

I’m hoping someone can help me out. I’m trying to set up my Drayton Wiser Hub and I’m getting stuck at the stage where my iPhone connects to the WiserHeat setup network.

My iPhone shows as connected in WiFi settings, but I don’t see the WiFi icon in the top right corner (I’ve read this can be normal because it’s a local network). I’ve turned off mobile data, turned off Private WiFi Address, and tried forgetting and reconnecting to the network multiple times. The hub is flashing green rapidly in setup mode.

When I go back into the Wiser app to continue setup, the green “Continue” button just keeps flashing, and eventually I get a network error or a message saying it can’t communicate with the hub, even though my phone shows it’s connected.

I also saw a prompt earlier about an update being available, but I’m not sure if that was for the app or for the hub firmware (and I know I can’t update the hub firmware until it’s set up). The app itself doesn’t show an update available in the App Store.

I’ve tried rebooting my phone, power cycling the hub, and even factory resetting the hub by holding down the setup button for over 10 seconds until it flashed green and orange rapidly. Still no luck.

I only have my iPhone with me at the moment so I can’t try another device right now.

Does anyone have any suggestions or has experienced this before? Could outdated firmware on the hub be the cause, or is there anything else I might be missing?

Thanks so much in advance for any advice!

I think I had a similar issue when I was trying to setup mine.
I made a quick call to the help line (0333 6000 622) who (for a change) really were helpful and got me up and running very quickly.
