Proeperty Managment - Directors and Lack of Decision Making

Hello, I am a director in my block where I live. The property management company is very slow and not reactive at all, almost like they're in idle mode. I'm trying to get some stuff sorted, but also, the other directors are very slow at responding. So, if I have to make a decision and communicate it to the property agent, and the other directors don't reply even after being informed multiple times, can I make the decision myself?

No all dcisions need to be joint.
Do you have formal meetings?
You could invite fellow directors into your home for drinks/nibbles to discuss anty problems that you have including attitude of current management company.
Ask around if anyone is aware of any other management companies operating in your area, small local ones tend to be more responsive than large national ones.0 -

Under what authority does the management company manage the building (e.g. They were hired by the freeholder? Or they were hired by the company that you're a director of? Or they are party to the lease?)
i.e. Is your company able to instruct the management company? Or are you only able to make requests to the management company?bard_of_bengal said:can I make the decision myself?
Assuming you are a director of some kind of company, there should be articles of association that document how decisions can be made.
Also, do the articles also say how disputes should be resolved? (i.e. You think that some stuff should be done, but the other director(s) aren't agreeing with you.)bard_of_bengal said:I'm trying to get some stuff sorted...
What kind of stuff?
Is the freeholder and/or management company breaching the lease by not doing stuff that the lease says they must do?
(If so, you might be able to get some results by taking action as a leaseholder, rather than as a director of a company.)
