replacing window frames in run-down building

Hi,
We've got a window with a dodgy looking wooden frame that may well need replacing.  Immediately surrounding the window on the outside we have hanging wall tiles that are are also in poor condition - its on the 1st floor. We'd like to re-use the old wall tiles if possible.

So what's the best way to tackle this?

If we take down the wall tiles, replace the window frame, then re-do the wall tiles is that likely to get expensive considering 2 different contractors would be doing each task?

If we redo the wall tiles first are they likely to get damaged if the window frame is then taken out?

any thoughts please?

Ask the window company what they think ?
Although better if they are a well regarded local company, rather than a big sales machine.

    How many tiles need replacing?
