British Gas fail me again
Options
I am in the midst of an Ombudsman complaint against BG that has been dragging on, for what seems like, forever.
Putting the ongoing complaint to one side, today I find out that they have changed my variable tariff (yes it has decreased) but they have failed to notify me.
Any other BG variable tariff customers not get any communication about the change? Don't suppliers have a legal obligation to notify customers of any tariff change?

Switch supplier. British Gas are the worst of the worst. Search the forums there are plenty of threads.1

I agree, they are horrendous. Unfortunately I can't switch suppliers because they screwed up my smart meter installation in 2022 and are still to correct the electricity metre. Other suppliers wont touch me

There is a long-standing Ofgem rule that requires suppliers to give customers 30 days' notice of price increases. There's no obligation that I'm aware of to inform customers in advance of price changes that don't leave them worse off.I'm not being lazy ...
I'm just in energy-saving mode.2
