Utility Warehouse upped our DD

Hi,

UW has upped our DD £317 a month for gas and electric from £200. 

We have been on a standard DD for our utilities and all of a sudden we are massively in debt, and now having to find another £117 to pay on
top of everything else. 

Is there anything I can do to tell them to revert my DD? 

I’m phoning them tomorrow morning, so want to have some ammo before they tell me that I have to keep paying this.

How do you expect to pay off he debt if they don't increase the DD ?  Have you not been monitoring your account to see how you have arrived in this situation ?  How much is he account in debit ?

Your DD is not your bill - if you have used more you pay more.

Go back to your last bills and find ones with actual readings on them. How much were you in debt then ?

Now read your meters this evening  - what are those readings please

When did you last give any readings to UW ?

Why are you suddenly "massively in debt"?

Is that accurate and is it due to lack of readings being submitted by you or your meter which has now caught up with you as they have billed you for usage on accurate readings?

Do you have smart meters that are providing regular automated readings, if not do you provide regular meter readings yourself?
