Thanks everyone for all the info - can't say I understood much of it, but got the gist that the meter really needs replacing. So that's what I'm going to do. Let's hope the engineer sent to do the job knows as much as your good selves!!!
It should be obvious to the meter fitter if you need a 5 port meter, but it may be worth sending in a photo showing the meter linked to the rts timeswitch. The 3rd in the series with wiring and isolator / incoming fuse ideal.

A 5 port meter will contain its own timing - possibly different from the rts so do ask meter fitter - and be able to drive not only a 24/7 live feed to your property, but the time restricted off peak feed that you look to have  currently from the rts module (on rhs of the unit, exiting below the black incoming fuse holder bottom lhs).

Or at least please tell them you have a connected rts when call to book the meter appointment.
You may also be given priority over others given the phased shutdown underway from 1st July.

Given what BG have told you in past about non rts.

That's a nice tidy install - and a good photo of the meter, too. We don't see many of that particular model so it's good to have a clear example!

Are you sure its not midnight to 7 GMT and 1am to 8am BST (many meters stay GMT for ALCS restricted switching and tariffs)

or an equally common 12:30- 730 GMT and so 130 to 830 am DST on our clocks at the moment.

Its a bit cramped in that meter box, with no space above the comms hub at all by looks of it - but just checked mine and Ive only got about 4cm -  and my incoming fuse block is about half the height of your total.

But that sidebar for the 5th port on the E470L (E470+L470 5 port version of E470) - certainly a more compact than a completely external Proteus EC1 style block.
