Tradesman Drove into House!

I wasn't sure where to put this, just after a bit of advice really. Had a tradesman come to home yesterday and they parked in the driveway, whist trying to get a large van in they hit the corner wall of the house with their plastic bumper. I haven't said anything about it as there is no damage (apart from left over plastic from the bumper), but should I say anything anyway? The person driving is an employee for the company, so don't want to get them fired or anything (they also didn't tell me about it, but a neighbour saw it happen).

Given no visible damage to the brickwork, should I leave it. If they'd taken out bricks or cracked it then I'd have to say something. Just after some advice, thanks.

What would you gain if you reported it?

Given they're trying to cover it up by not saying anything, do you really want them working on your house???

I can’t see why you need to report it. The guy is nit going to be able to hide the damage from their employer.

These things do sometimes  happen when moving large vehicles around. I done it before in my younger years, and have to say I all ways owned up to it. if there no structural damage to your property, and you are happy with every thing, then let it go.

I think you need to get a full structural survey of the house done, and inform your insurer.

Alternatively, let it go.  Accidents happen, and this one seems to have had no consequences for you to worry about.

Thanks all for your advice and input... I tend to overthink things so was thinking what if something happens later on and i didn't report it. I am not after any gain at all, but also don't want to get someone in the poop for a small mistake. However yes, they should have been honest about it! I think I will let it lie, there appears to be no visible damage to the house as it's tougher than their plastic bumper! My neighbour said it made a bit of a bang, but that'll be the vehicle, like said above, I expect the employer will notice it.
