I would know to go to the consumer unit and turn off the ring but wife/kids etc may not

My six year old ones are fine, mine are MK. (Made in UK) But then everything I have made by MK seems to last...Deepest Kent. 4.6kW Growatt inverter, solar i boost+ 5.9kW Solar Edge

We replaced the sofa last year and half of the ones they were selling had built in USB ports. I never leave anything on charge (USB or otherwise) if I'm going out.

i know this is an old post but since you don't plug devices directly into the socket all you would need to do is replace the cable, not the socket.

Since 2019, every new plug socket we fitted has USB ports. All MK brand. All fine this far.
