Yes I have read the newbies thread but only briefly because it seems to be for people with legitimate reasons to not pay these tickets and the case has just progressed despite them not violating any rules. My question is this I now have a debt recovery letter from Trace with the £170 that seems so common for these people to request from us but I do not have a good reason for not paying for parking in the first place. It was in Manchester City centre and I was going for a job interview, I tried to pay using the mobile app but it glitched out and I gave up. I then made no attempt to pay this parking fee at home, I did appeal it saying about the app but got rejected. It was a NCP car park so I think you have the option to pay after leaving the car park but I never did coz I was broke and just thought I could ignore letters forever. I’m now seeing that you have to go to court and present evidence more so nowadays than ever before and I don’t have any good reasons for not paying the parking fee. Unless someone tells me the reasons I’ve listed are good enough should I just arrange a payment plan with Trace? I’ve got till 1st July to pay this £170 supposedly but not even sure what happens from then but I’m guessing it’ll be court?
