Advice on BA fares to Chile in November – book now or wait?

Options

Hi all,

Looking at flights to Chile this November – ideally Heathrow to Santiago around 6th Nov, returning on the 23rd. There are internal flights on both ends of the long-haul, so I’m looking at options that account for that. BA economy fares are currently around £1,100.

I know BA pricing isn’t particularly dynamic compared to the likes of Ryanair, but is there much value in waiting, or is it better to lock in now? I’ve tried routing via São Paulo (which has been cheaper in the past), and looked at options via AMS, CDG, etc., but haven’t found anything better.

Dates are fairly fixed, though I could go out a bit earlier if that helps on price.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

Thanks,
R.

BA prices are dynamic in that the lower priced classes of travel within economy class will sell out first.

Are you dead set on BA/Oneworld or is price more of a factor? For example if you were prepared to go out a day earlier and come back a day later then going via Toronto with Air Canada is £650 or so.

Some idea of the internal flights might be helpful, unless you feel you have already covered all of the options.
