Using comparison sites to find car insurance for new car?
Comments
-
When I was in the same boat looking at different cars, I found it useful to pick one of two that were "front-runners" and only run full quotes on those,. Playing around with half a different models across multiple sites can get a bit messy, and as others have said insurers can sometimes flag usual activity. What I tend to do now is use an independent comparison site like mycompare.co.uk and quote zone, then once I'm serious about a particular car I'll run the full details with my actual information on the insurer's own site (and sometimes ring them) to see if its any cheaper, sometimes it is, but sometimes the comparison site is cheaper. That way you still get the best price and you can double check for any extras like cashback or multi-car discounts before you commit.0
