@Emmia what you don’t know about modelling money is that the majority of parents put their children’s money into ISAs that they can’t access until they are 18. I am actually one of the few parents that let them spend it. However if they are spending hundreds of pounds on Tik tok and online gaming then it’s time to step in. It’s not helpful to compare worried parents to financially controlling spouses.

You say you don't want to stop your son from wasting his money on tiktok, just curb it (but against his will). What good habit are you teaching this way? Today it's his money, tomorrow it will be credit or worse.
