Smart Meter Apps - Bright, Loop Or Something Else ?
Did a search on here and couldn't find much on the pros and cons of each or any others to use. I am with Eon Next and have their app. I have also downloaded both Bright and Loop. Meters were installed yesterday
Eon is currently showing electric but not gas use. Basic usage charts, defaults to £s and have to change it back every time you open the app.
Loop is showing gas but states there is a problem with my electric meter and it is not sending data ! The bar chart for gas shows double the use - 06.30 when my hot water came on shows 5.2 kWh but the text shows 2.6 kWh - is this normal ?
Bright is showing both gas and electric half hourly. It would not let me sign up with a Hotmail address - said choose another log in - is that a thing with them ?. I have never signed up with them before but I clicked forgot password to check but nothing was sent. Signed up with my Yahoo address and it worked, tried to change to Hotmail but it just ignored my request.
So far Bright looks the best / clearest.
What does everyone else use ?

I have both but find bright the better for me, but I am with Octopus and I have a home mini. I use Bright occasionally for when not getting info from Octopus and sanity check.
I feel the layout on Bright much better than Loop.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Aint no sunshine ☀️ Octopus gas fixed dec 24 @ 5.74 tracker again+ Octopus Intelligent Flux leccy1 -
I also use Bright. We dont have a gas meter . I can see half hourly electricity consumption back to Wednesday 11th November 2020 which probably when I signed up to them.
I'm hoping that it doesn't go awry when my supplier changes from Eon-Next to OFTM next weekNever under estimate the power of stupid people in large numbers1 -
I used to use Hugo until it became paid for. I now use the energy Save app from Oxfordshire County Council. you don't have to live in Oxon to use it.0

Bright seems to be the one. Deleted Loop because it still can't get my electric read even though both Eon and Bright can.0
