Good morning Gers, and all who follow.
Dull and cloudy out, but nice and cool. I love being up at this time and enjoying the cool air and listening to the dawn chorus. I'm more of an early bird whereas DH is a night owl.
All shopping done yesterday and put away, just need to tidy the fridge up. I'm thinking I may make a salmon quiche for tonight, but that may change. Plenty in otherwise. Other than that only usual chores to do, washing to put on in a mo. Once it starts to heat up it seems an effort to do anything.
Rosy, I hope everything works out for the dog you wanted with his new family, but sadly it isn't always so. When we collected big dog another poor dog had been returned after only two weeks. DH said cant we take him as well, no, at our age 1 dog is more than enough. He did find another home later.
Oh well, off to start the day. Have a good one all.

Good morning, thanks for starting Gers.
It's cool here but bright, set to warm up I think.
I've just put some washing in, should dry ok as it's breezy. I don't know where the washing comes from, there's only two of us.
Not much happening today.
Hope everyone's ok and has good days, take care folks.14 -
Good morning
Thank you for the start @Gers
Just opened the greenhouse door and it's already starting to get warm. Looks like we had rain overnight.
Nothing much planned for today, need to put a couple of the peppers into larger pots as they keep falling over.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.12 -
Good morning all!
Planning a noon swim around sorting out the house, maybe doing a spot of actual work as well. We are seeing a friend after swimming but have an hour between, so lunch might be a town centre sarnie. We'd love to buy from one of the food vans, but you know, gotta be Frugal Dougals.
Keep reading books!

Morning again - I've done my ablutions, my exercises and my first coffee. As I did all this the sky cleared up though it's still light grey, overnight rain is still wet on the track. I'm an early bird too @remmie, it's the best part of the day for me.Yesterday turned out fine, it was a shame I had no washing to do. After cancelling my overnight stay I didn't regret it as my gut wasn't happy, probably too many ABs recently. Anyway, I did lots of niggly chores here. All the paperwork I'd put away on top of the washing machine was tackled. Private info torn off, rest of it put in the recycling bag and then I burnt all the tops out in the chiminea then I dead headed the lovely though broken Mary Berry rose. The remaining parts look healthy and seem to be recovering well, it has such a fabulous smell. As for today - no idea! I cooked some chicken breasts in the microwave so they need attention. One will be with salad for lunch and others combined with sweetcorn and mayo for later.I hope that all are doing well, enjoying peace, gardening, holidaying or being busy. Hugs to all.

Morning all and thanks for the start @Gers hope you’re feeling better today?
DDad went to London yesterday and then I delivered him to DSis in the evening. DH and I managed to get a little gardening tidying/planting done yesterday. Gave everything a good water and it also rained overnight, so hopefully the plants will be happy. An office day for me and I bought lunch on the way in which is very unlike me but there was only soup in the freezer rather than actual meals. Dinner tonight is an easy chicken curry with added spinach. Thanks for the author recommendation @Chrisca50 - I’m currently reading the Elly Griffiths Ruth Galloway series, so will have a look once finished.Have a Good Friday all

Good morning 😊
A tired start, today. I have had poor sleep for a few days, so thought a night-time tea would help. Instead, I was up three times to use the bathroom. Not even an hour’s walk just before bed last night, helped with the sleep issue.
We are planning a hike tomorrow, so I want to make some vegan protein balls to take with us. There is enough curry left over from yesterday, so I don’t need to make anything else.
Other than that, and the usual chores for a Friday, there isn’t much else planned so far.
Hope you all have a good day 😊11 -

Morning All
I've been trying to keep up but not doing very well! Work has been unbelievable, I've been starting at 7.30 and finishing around 5. It was the end of term yesterday so I have a good few weeks to recover!
I had my Cousin and her DH here for a week - lovely to see them but not a great time for them to visit with me being at work. They were very good at entertaining themselves without a car and we had a couple of trips out over the weekend.
It's a catch up day at the allotments today and there's some much needed shopping to do - there may be a nanna nap later to try to catch up on some sleep.
Hope you're all well, take care. XX10 -
Morning everyone
Cloudy here this morning but hopefully the sun will pop out later.
Chrisca - my dad is working through the Logan books on Audible and really enjoying them, he's up to number 8 I think so still a few to keep him entertained.
I have some plants to put in DDs garden this afternoon, to fill in the gaps where the huge nettles were. Little one has her play therapy this afternoon, then the lady is away for the summer...I think it's just a case of seeing what she's like over the summer for whether she has to go back.
Camelot - enjoy your school holidays, we've still got 3 more weeks to go
Hope everyone has a good day x7
