Hi all
I have Barclaycard Rewards Credit Card. There is currently a balance of around £2.5k on this card however it is 0% until July 2026.
I have received an email from Barclaycard offering 0% on purchases until January 2026. If i was to take this offer, will I be foregoing my existing 0% balance transfer?
TIA

No. Why? You won't be foregoing it even if you make non-promotional purchases and pay them in full:hufc2002 said:I have Barclaycard Rewards Credit Card. There is currently a balance of around £2.5k on this card however it is 0% until July 2026.

You will have two promotional balances with different expiry dates. The only question is how your payments are allocated if you have two promotional balances. If you have more than one promotional balance at the same interest rate, we’ll use your payment to reduce the balance with the promotional rate that ends firsthttps://www.barclaycard.co.uk/personal/credit-cards/how-interest-is-charged-on-your-account
Beware, Barclaycard is a good lender in this respect. It can be much more messy with some other cards.

The real reason I ask is that we're due to go to Orlando next month and do have spending money but I always like to take credit card as back up. I know the rewards card is good for overseas spending so was trying to avoid my wife applying for the same card.0

No but you need to be careful where you payments will be credited to and therefore read your terms and conditions. The law requires payments to go to the highest interest balance first but where interest is equal its up to the lender where it goes; the default for many is the oldest balance.hufc2002 said:Hi all

So in principle were you to take the offer and live it large whilst on holiday all your payments until January will go to your BT balance and so then when January comes along the full balance of your buying will become subject to interest.0
