When should solicitors advise that dealing with estate has fully completed?

Options
We have been having a mare with the solicitors dealing with my mum's estate and I am currently generating a timeline so that we can register a complaint with the practice.  I fully understand that as it is in Ireland, things may differ, but I would hope that the basic beginning and end line would pretty much follow English law.

My mum died in May 2022, everything has been dealt with, albeit it tediously slowly.  We have known for over 2 months that the properties have been registered in our names as I had checked the land registry, the registration happened in April, it was pure fluke that I happened to check a couple of weeks after the registration.  However, the solicitors have not let us know.  Are they supposed to let us know, and if so, when should they tell us? I would have thought that they would want to close the file?

Worth researching the points of contention and not assuming. Are you a named executor?

No, the solicitors were. Started off fine, but we have had 3 different solicitors dealing with it, never advised of change of person, incurred Revenue penalties because we weren’t given the information in time, could go on & on, so no issues regarding the complaint we want to make. I suppose I better check what should be the last process in Ireland.
