So 3 deadline dates
Hearing fee deadline date is 30th July, for the claimant to pay the hearing fee
Witness Statement deadline is 2 weeks before the hearing date, so 6th August
Hearing date is 20th August
You should check if they pay the hearing fee after 30th July

Gotcha. I won’t have a witness statement. Do I just call the court number on the letter after the 30th to check?

You would definitely have to call them, old school, by phone
Everybody has a Witness Statement, including you, that court order orders it, so if you failed to comply then you would lose AND be in breach of a court order too, with possible penalties on top
Study the 2nd post in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum for advice on this stage

Did you forget to re-read the NEWBIES thread post 2 to remind yourself about WS & evidence stage? Of course, defence was never your only job (see NEWBIES thread!) and you should have been ready for page 2 of the order.
However, it's ECP:
- They will now discontinue, this week;
- Show us the attached NoD when DCB Legal email it over;
- Have a laugh and read about the consumer protection investigation launched the other day by the CMA.
You can't have missed that news?!
