So it's been roughly a week since I emailed Elms legal. I have had no response.

Should I call / contact them to confirm they have received my response?
Of course not. That's merely days ago! Did you miss the NEWBIES thread telling you never ever to ring these firms?

BTW - to save our time and yours - please don't post Elms' response when it eventually comes. We do not need to see that. Thanks!

Reply here only if you get a small claim. Cannot be ignored but it's easy to defend.

Great, so when they reply, ignore it, and then only come bck if they pursue a claim. Got it. Thanks!
  • Quick update - after sending the initial template, I've been left alone for a while. Now I have received a Final Reminder Before Court Action, advising me to settle at a reduced rate of £145.

I was hoping this had gone away, but here we are again. I just wanted to confirm, I should ignore this letter, is that correct?

    Yes.

Ignore that but pleeease do this by next week:

    FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next Friday.

    See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.
