Argos store card repayment plan

I couldn’t find a topic category for store cards so chose credit cards. Hope that’s ok!
I have an Argos store card and have been struggling to bring my balance down because the interest is so high each month. I called them in February and arranged a repayment plan for 6 months which freezes the interest and allows me to pay off the balance with an agreed amount each month.

I received no emails or letters confirming this agreement or explaining the terms of the plan in writing. I checked my online account and there isn’t any mention of it there either.
Surely they should provide this information in writing somewhere! I’ve entered into an agreement with them but have no legal paperwork about it.
I’ve tried to search this on Google and I can’t find any reference of their repayment plans. I can’t even find comments or forums of other people who’ve been in this situation.
Is it a legal requirement for them to provide documentation of a payment arrangement? And I’d be interested to know if anyone else has been in this situation with Argos.
fingers crossed someone can help!

I'm guessing either you or them isn't sticking to the agreement, or you wouldn't be asking?0

Thats not the case. I’m paying the agreed amount each month and there’s no issue from either party. I’m just concerned that there doesn’t seem to be any record of the arrangement or the terms of itSuperAllyB said:I'm guessing either you or them isn't sticking to the agreement, or you wouldn't be asking?0 -
This is an informal temporary agreement. The T&Cs of your original contract remain unchanged0

The T&Cs aren’t an issue. My concern is that I have no record of this “temporary agreement” or the terms that were agreed upon for the duration. May I add that during the phone call they didn’t refer to it as a temporary agreement. I’m merely asking the community for advice as I believe I should have some legal record of this new arrangement and they have not provided anything officialManyWays said:This is an informal temporary agreement. Your online account will show your up-to-date balance and (presumably) a monthly statement. Have your payments of the last four months been booked and brought the balance down correctly, has no further interest been added?Ashsav said:

You said, that after the six-monthly agreement the balance will be paid and then, hopefully, account will be closed. What more do you want? If the balance isn't paid in full at that point, the arrangement will be void and interest will be charged again (unless you come to a new agreement).0 -
What more do I want? Lol I want people to provide relevant, helpful answers to my post and not give hostile comments about unrelated assumptions.bengal-stripe said:

I’m not disputing the arrangement, I’ve not defaulted on it, I have no issues with it. I’m simply asking if Argos should provide some official/written documentation of a payment plan that has different terms.0 -
I'm not aware of any legal requirement to do so, verbal contracts are perfectly valid after all.Ashsav said:

The only reason why I might expect them to do so is because it's easier for them to prove the agreement existed if you defaulted than if it was purely verbal, but that's a them problem rather than a you problem.0
