Pension credit

My aunt went into a care home, deferred payment was agreed until her property was sold. Solicitors haf POA for all. My aunt was in recept on pension credit, solicitors did not inform DWP when her property was sold. DWP are obviously wanting the overpayment paid back. My question is, can they claim it only when funds went into the solicitors account or do they have the rights to claim more back before her property was sold? TIA

It would be from the date of completion of the sale of the property.0

She should be entitled to attendance allowance if she is self funding. My mother's care home manager helped us fill in her's.0
