Vanquis Credit Card

I’ve had a Vanquis credit card for several years and recently was offered a 0% balance transfer which I took. I read all the “Important information” on their app. I continued to use said card for purchases. I have now received my statement and am now told that once you have a balance transfer you cannot continue to use card for purchases and if you do, you will be charged interest. Even though the “important information” states you can still get interest free purchases aslong as you pay for these. I am very confused and annoyed as Vanquis cannot tell me where this rule is displayed, if I had known I would never have had the balance transfer, just wondered if any one else had encountered anything similar

Should never mix a balance transfer & purchases.
Only way round this is now
Once you have your statement.
Total up the spend for your month, add the min payment & a few £ extra.
That way it should negate the interest on spending. Some do some don't.
Then in the future, don't spend on the card.
Your balance transfer is 0%, spending is at normal % rate.Life in the slow lane0 -
I am confused. Did you transfer a credit card balance to Vanquis or away from Vanquis? If you transferred a balance to Vanquis, lets say you transferred from another credit card, then that credit card would have a zero or reduced balance. You could then spend on that card.If you transferred your balance on Vanquis to another card, then once your Vanquis balance was cleared, then you could spend on the Vanquis card.0

That's what their T&C say:When we won’t charge interest
We won’t charge interest on any purchase balance or balance transfer transaction shown in a monthly statement if you repay the total balance shown on your statement in full by the payment due date. By total balance, we mean the total amount of all balances for all three types of transaction: purchases, cash and balance transfers.
....
For example You receive your monthly statement in June. This includes purchase transactions of £200, balance transfer of £100 and cash transactions of £50. We won’t charge interest on the £200 purchases and £100 balance transfer if you pay off the full £350 balance by the payment due date in July. However, we’ll still charge interest on the £50 cash transactions up to the date you pay your June statement in full. Your July statement will show the amount we’ll charge. This will include interest on the £50 cash transactions along with any other interest we charge on your statement balance between your June statement date and the date you paid the £350 balanceThis is typical for most CCs with very few exceptions.
