Court case between Me & Premier Parking (Gladstones Solicitors)

Options
This is my first message on this forum. Apologies in advance for any silly questions from me.

Premier Parking Exeter (Gladstone Solicitors) took me to court yesterday (in London) for me parking in an accessibility bay without displaying a blue badge (the incident happened in 2023). I have submitted all the evidence from the other area newbie section and my partners and sons medical information from the doctor. I will say, my original appeal to premier parking was that the T&Cs was not clear and the markings was not clear.

Long story short, the judge has adjourned the case because I brought up in my bundle that my partner and son are being discriminated under the Equality Act 2010 because they are disabled but they don't have a blue badge, it was also in my case that we were on private land were the blue badge has on standing and the T&C was not clear.

The Judge has said that they need to bring someone else in that can comment on the serious allegation of discrimination involving the Equality Act 2010.

No one was at court from Gladstones, it was just me and the Judge. The judge said she is aware that I intend to counter claim for my costs.

Do I need to be worried? Do I need to do anything? (I haven't been asked to do anything) Thanks in advance for any advise. Martyn.

No, they has wrote a letter to the court saying they would not be attending, I just wonder now if they will attend the next hearing picking holes in my defense...

I don't usually comment on court claims not my area others will be along soon. But isn't this because you filed a "counter claim", had you not done that it surely would have been just thrown out as they didn't show up?

I probably didn't explain that very well, I don't think it was a counter claim, the defense document just said I wanted to recover my costs for attending court which I think is different. They didn't have to show up because when they sent their bundle, Gladstone also sent a letter asking to be excused from attending court which the court will and did accept.
