Morning allHave a lovely holiday @RedRuby1231Got my phone sorted yesterday. Chap was very helpful and we (well, he) got the problem solved in the end.Weather is a bit calmer today but expected to become windy again in the next couple of days. Wish it would go away now.A bit of housework this morning and nothing else exciting happening.Have a good day all x14

Have a lovely trip RedRuby.Just a few things to put in the campervan and Bdog and I will be off. Via the campervan place for them to look at a couple of snags and staying in N Yorkshire tonight before Northumberland the rest of the holiday. Walking the whole of the N’berland coastal path - slowly I should add. The official guidebook does the 64 miles in 5 days - it’ll be nearer 12 days for us I think with other trips too as I don’t want to rush and B is nearly 11 so have to be careful.Hope everyone is well. Take care all

Morning - happy holiday @Ruby - relax and forget the problems at home. It's very grey outside with low cloud, I'm hoping that it'll all lift. Yesterday morning the rain dribble on for ages and then cleared up. The evening meeting was over in an hour so that was good. I spent a very sticky hour decanting the elderflower cordial - the colour is very pleasing, it's more red than the pink of the flowers. This morning I have to do a quick (!) run up to the big town to collect a med, I'll take the opportunity to do a little light shopping. I'll put a white wash on before I leave, my cleaner is coming so the machine will be attended.I hope that all are well, hugs all round.12

Enjoy your break too @AlwaysAllie x
We had a lovely day at Sissinghurst yesterday and the weather was just right.
I’m WFH today. Need to drop DDad off at the station as he’s meeting his SIL in London for lunch today. DS2 passed his degree so all systems go for his graduation in July 🥳
Have a good day all

Off out to a cleaning job now Taff I will be at the house of my gentlemen that’s poorly tomorrow I can’t believe he is still here I say every week he can’t get any smaller but he does he was telling me last week he was going to follow all instructions and behave himself ready for when me and him go on holiday next year but it took me nearly an hour to keep joking on with him and coaxing him to take his tablets he doesn’t want them it’s sad to see . Must dash . Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever your doing13

Morning all! Not sunny yet but looks to have drizzled slightly in the night. Nowhere near enough so far...We seem to have feast or famine with the rain. Mostly famine all winter really. Potting on toms and cukes today, along with a small stint to put some leeks in at the allotment. I also need to empty the old greenhouse thoroughly to sell it. But at least things are moving in the right direction...albeit glacially...Ruby, hope you have a lovely time! Gers, lovely colour on that cordial! Allie, hope you enjoy too! Walking that far! Don't get blisters either! Izzy, after going through that with my father, what I will say is don't try and make them do something you want them to do, let them do what they want to do even if it's contrary to everything you think or would like. If I had known then what I do now, I wouldn't have tried to make my father eat and drink because it becomes stressful for them and for you when they don't or can't. We don't talk about the process of death enough, or get told about it, the stages of the body shutting down that is. Or the rally before death when everything seems normal a couple of days before. No one wants to think about this, but I do think a bit more knowledge on mine and my sisters part would have made his last weeks a lot easier for him, even if not for us.On that note, I will say take care all, look after yourselves.Non me fac calcitrare tuum culi18

Good morning
Happy holidays Redruby and Allie
The sun is shining in a clear blue sky, temperatures are set to rise again after a cooler couple of days.
I dont think theres anything planned for today, except the usual chores. Chicken kievs, new potatoes and salad for dinner.
Rosy, big dog was a rescue. After we lost our previous dog we said no more. We couldn't go through the heartache again. After 18 months we realised we missed the companionship and thought about another dog. Then one day while scrolling through his photo came up on a rescue site 50 miles away. We contacted them and visited and met him the next day, and after a week once all the checks were done, brought him home. I really think it was meant to be and hope the same happens for you.
Mehefin, lovely photo.
Have a good day all whatever you're doing. Take care.11 -
