First Direct FlexiLoan Cancellation

I too recently received the Flexiloan cancellation message from First Direct. I've enjoyed that facility for perhaps 20 years and found it to be really useful. But this comes on top of HSBC closing it's branch in our market town last year (despite the local population growing exponentially). I'd also add FD's telephone banking service is not at all what it used to be - their call handlers used to be the best, but now I'd say they're no better than average. No, I've had enough. First Direct has lost its market-leading edge. After 25 years with FD I'm switching my current account to Nationwide, who are the only bank to maintain a physical branch on our high street, and are currently offering a £200 inducement to switch.
