Been paying for 4G broadband twice due to EE's error...

I've just noticed that EE have made a mistake and are charging me for two 4G broadband services, perhaps going back several years.

We happily had a 4G broadband router for a while (we're not covered by 5G and we're far from a green cabinet), but a few years ago it seemed to be dropping off constantly and so EE sent us a replacement router. But it now appears that this wasn't the case, and that it was an ADDITIONAL router, and that we've been paying for two! The usage section of our account shows that only one is being used (and I think I returned the old router).

I feel absolutely sick that this has cost upwards of £1000 and that I didn't notice sooner. What hope do you think we have of getting the money back from EE? I feel certain that this is their mistake originally.

Don't you check your bank account or credit card account every month?

Do you  not also check your EE account for charges every month?

If this going back years I can't see how EE are going to pay you back.as you should of noticed sooner.

If you have proof that EE sent you a new router and not a "new broadband service" then you may get back all your money. EE should of sent you some paperwork by post or email confirming this so have a look through your paperwork for it.

If you already have this then start a complaint with EE.
