ImpaktClaims.Co.Uk - Missold Credit Claims

Hi,

Hope you're all well, I've been recommended a company called Impaktclaims.co.uk, to deal with potentially being mis-sold credit, my friends used them and they managed to clear some credit cards for him, i'm just a little bit weary of sharing information with them.

I'm wondering if anyone had dealt with them before, are they trustworthy?

They're currently asking for me to share a credit report with them, and i'm not sure if thats a safe thing to do? Should i do that?

I've also been recommended by someone else another compant called, Clear Legal LTD, but i havent messaged them yet, and they dont have the best reviews online.

Any help with this would be greatly appreciated,

Kind Regards,

James

What type of missold credit complaint are you referring to?

    Aside from the above.
Why pay a 3rd party to do what you can do yourself?

    This is MSE after all.

Honestly i dont know what the process entails, and i keep avoiding dealing with it, so im just trying to make the situation as simple as possible for me right now, even on a good day my ADHD makes things like this a nightmare to deal with, but currently not in the best place, Im currently considering a DRO if this doesn't help, as i just want it to be done with.

So you mean unaffordable lending? Few credit cards are "sold", most are applied for by the customer without intervention from the lender.

Ultimately your choice, if you think giving away 30%+VAT of your compensation is a reasonable fee. Note that the unspoken issue with no win, no fee is that you cannot choose to abandon the claim if its just dragging on too long or being too much hassle, if you do you have to pay them for the work they have done.

Thanks for replying, Yeah that what i mean i'm wasnt sure what the correct terminology was. I dont know what the process involves to do it myself, so not sure what it entails, how would i go about doing it myself?

Im trying to look for the easiest option tbh, i need as few hurdles as possible to get it done, organising admin isn't my strong point, so writing and responding in time to what could be a prolonged process for me, might not be the best, ive been stuck in my position for a while so i just want to get out of it. I dont wanna spend the next X month worrying, contstantly checking my emails and being anxious about what i need to do next.

Its either this or a DRO.

Could you tell me if its safe to send a credit report to them to check over and if this companys reputable

Either way, this is not going to be a quick process. More likely using a 3rd party (money grabber) can mean that the lender will spend more time looking at the case, than when you do it yourself.
As lenders know these companies are trying it on in many cases.

Have you defaulted on any of the CC/Loans?

Any money written off can sometimes be offset against any repayment but the 3rd party will still demand a cut of money you didn't get

You can do an irresponsible lending complaint yourself very easily and pay nothing

Sam Vimes' Boots Theory of Socioeconomic Unfairness:

People are rich because they spend less money. A poor man buys $10 boots that last a season or two before he's walking in wet shoes and has to buy another pair. A rich man buys $50 boots that are made better and give him 10 years of dry feet. The poor man has spent $100 over those 10 years and still has wet feet.

Yeah a couple of them have defaulted and are with debt companies?

Do you know its safe to send a copy of my credit report for them to look over?

I appreciate that could you link me to a reputable source that explains the process for how to do it myself?
