Best electric shower, help

Options
Hi I’m trying to replace my old electric shower with a new model but still trying to decide between ENlight® BTW - 9.5kW - Grey (Black Kit) GEENLB93 and the Mira Sport Multi-Fit™ 9.8 kW 1.1746.834 can anyone advise which one would be the best option, thanks

Triton ENlight seems to be mainly about "Distinctive WOW electric shower design to show off to your friends and family", but oddly seems to have only one power setting (plus no heating). It's thermostatic.
Mira, like most showers, has two power settings, but it's not clear whether it's thermostatic: "Mira Opti-flo™ technology optimises water flow throughout the year – adjusting to combat seasonal changes in your mains water temperature."
    Do your research.

I have Mira Orbis Plus (discontinued) and I like it. It is thermostatic with two power settings.

Before deciding which shower to buy, be aware that if it is more powerful than your old one, the cable back to the consumer unit will need to be upgraded.  For example, if the old is 8.5 kW, the new one can't be 9.5kW (or greater) without a cable upgrade.

Sorry to be pedantic !  It depends what size cable is already there - it's possible that when the cable was first installed they fitted one that could take any sized shower.
But you're absolutely right - if you fit a more powerful shower than the existing one, the cable will need checking by an electrician.  It may be that it'll be fine, it may need upgrading, but unless you really know what you're doing it's best to get an electrician to confirm for you.
