Parkingeye PCN

Hi there,

My mom received a PCN from Parkingeye for not paying for parking in a hotel parking.
There was no service in the area and the only method to pay for parking is by the app.
She decided to pay after she left (stayed for 20 minutes) but forgot to pay when she got back home...

I will attempt to call the Hotel tomorrow and explain to them why and if they could ask Parkingeye to cancel it, if they reject or they dont cancel it, can we claim that the app was not working?

If matters the parking charge is reduced until 31st, I'm also worried if I call the hotel and they dont follow up then we need to pay the full charge

Called the Hotel, refused to cancel it... please do we have any possible option to appeal?

The keeper could appeal to Parking Eye using the blue text appeal template in the newbies sticky thread in announcements near the top of the forum,  first post  ( but Parking Eye will reject the appeal   )

No appeal is likely to work, especially because payment wasn't made after the fact  ( she forgot   )

Ideally we need to see pictures of the signs, but usually they allow for phone calls to pay, or similar,  not just an app ( not everyone has a smartphone or apps  )

If there was no method of payment available,  then a judge might take that into account,  in court

There is no June 31st.

She could appeal proving her patronage / stay at the hotel and say the app was not working because the area has a very poor signal. They might reduce it to £20 if she proves her stay.

I'm afraid to name the anything incase they scout the forum... please let me know if it doesn't matter then I can share!

The evidence ANPR photographs shows front plate in both pictures could claim that there is an error with ANPR and no proof of parking? just in the area and doing a 3 point turn?

Thank you both for the reply, although she was not staying at the hotel, only to attend a job interview and parking is allowed here still even if you are not staying at the hotel just have to pay extra.

Complain to the hotel (be polite but don't take no for an answer) especially is the person to whom the PCN was addressed was attending a job interview there.
