Got turned down for credit card

    might be worth looking at credit files and use eligibility checkers before applying elsewhere
    gives an idea who may accept applications
    I'd agree, but even with "100% guaranteed" on the eligibility checker I still get turned down by Barclaycard!

    This is because the checker is not the lender so it's impossible for them to say, unless there is some sort of special agreement where they can access limited criteria and base it on the soft check
