Problems with account

I’ve just tried to buy something online but Barclays keeps blocking my account.  The amount is only £14.  I haven’t reported any problems with the account, I’ve had the account problem free for years and I buy nearly all my food items online which I do dozens of times every month and the balance is fairly high so there’s no problems there.

Does anyone any ideas why this might have happened?  

I transferred the amount into our joint Barclays account and bought the item with that without any problems.

 Might not be your bank. I tried to make a payment to a catalogue and it didn't go through 3 times despite verifying the payment through the app so I gave up. Rand the bank who said they hadn't blocked it so must have been a fault on the merchants website.

Thanks for that.  This is the 2nd time it has happened, it resolved itself the first time after a few days.  I’m going to the branch tomorrow as the staff are very helpful
