Reroofing end terrace

Hi... any advice on whether this is an OK quote would be apriciated.

the house in an end terrace with an offshot kitchen and all needs replacing.
The proposed work to be carried out would be as follows:-

1)Remove all angle capped ridge tiles.

2)Remove all old welsh slate from front, rear and off shot elevations.

3)Remove all old 25mm/38mm lath again from front, rear and off shot elevations.

4)Remove all old lead from dorma cheeks on rear elevation and chimney stacks on both front and rear elevations.

5)Lay Divoroll pro HD or Tyveck underfelt along rafters and affix with 30mm copper nails.

6)Affix lathe 25mm/38mm with a gauge of 250mm and fix with 50mm galvanised nails.

7)Affix new NT Throutone eternite slate fastening with 30mm copper nails and disc rivet.

8)New lead soakers/flashing system will be fitted to chimney stacks and dorma cheeks.

9)Rebed clay angle capped ridges with a mortar mix of 3 parts sand and 1 part cement.

10)Remove old board and felt from dorma on rear elevation and replace with new .

RE-ROOFED IN ETERNIT SLATE CARRIES A TEN YEAR LABOUR ONLY GUARANTEE.

TOTAL COST £4550 INCLUSIVE OF V.A.T.

we were quoted £2.5k a couple of years ago but also nearly £7k this time for the same work.

    get at least 3 quotes.
    although anything under 5k for a new roof is about right.
    does the price inc scaffolding? and removal from site of old stuff?

    whats happening to the old welsh slates? they are worth good money!

    thanks... thats the second quote, the first being 7k!

    that includes all scaffold and removal of all waste... not sure about the slate although i imagine they will take it as 'waste' if it has any value.
