ADS Additional Dwelling Supplement in Scotland

up to 8% now.   And this ontop of Stamp duty that would be due on a 2nd home?    Anyone with much experience dabbling in the Scottish market?

    Went up last December, not now, and no, it isn't "on top of stamp duty that would be due on a 2nd home", it is the "stamp duty" due on a 2nd home. You pay LBTT in Scotland, not SDLT.

    (also you've posted this on the Mortgages board, but it isn't really a mortgage-related point. General property-buying stuff is more usefully put here).
