Normally the address (including postcode) for a residential electricity supply would be the same as the address (and postcode) in the Royal Mail database of such things.
    Is the RM database correct?

Our postcode was wrong with SSEN who were the supplier as well as DNO when we moved here. Council and Royal Mail data was all correct, it was just SSEN records that didn't match.

Getting it corrected was a bit of a pain but we got there after a few tries. Be prepared for some blockheaded responses.

Thanks, Qyburn. In hindsight, how would you go about getting the code changed ?
RM database appears to be correct.

Official complaint and attach a screenshot of Royal Mail web page showing your CORRECT details.
I had to do this with Tomato energy and they managed to correct their error!

Didn't have to go as far as a complaint, just took a couple of attempts.  First failed because the correct postcode didn't match the incorrect one they had on record.
