Britannia Parking PCN - Contract with dormant company?
Comments
-
Thanks all! What would the additional argument be regarding the use of different companies to send the PCN and sign the contract?0
-
Would it be worth reporting them to HMRC with a copy of the letter they sent as the company is still carrying out business activity??0
-
It won't hurt but I have no experience of that.Duke1999 said:Would it be worth reporting them to HMRC with a copy of the letter they sent as the company is still carrying out business activity??
Re the other question, search the forum for Britannia Services and the company number. You'll find it's been successfully used before.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Thanks Castle. My friend checked the title at the land registry today and it confirmed Flamborough Holidays Ltd are still the landowner. I didn't even realise a dormant company could own land or operate a car par on their land.Castle said:
Yes, very important because 8187238 is Britannia Parking Services Ltd so Britannia Parking Group Ltd, (8182990), has no contract and furthermore, Flamborough Holidays Ltd are not the landowner anyway.Insolvenaut said:Apparently the contract between Flamborough Holidays Ltd and Britannia Parking is under company number 8187238, whilst the Parking Charge reminder shows 08182990. Is this something that is important?0 -
According to the last set of accounts filed, which were December 2023, Flamborough Holdings Ltd don't own any property.Insolvenaut said:

As of their accounts up to 31st December 2023, Bard Midco Ltd list Flamborough Holidays Ltd as a dormant subsidiary. I am learning a lot about how companies structure themslves even if it might not be relevant!0 -
One Ltd company can't be 'part of' another Ltd company. They are separate legal entities.
Why not search the forum for the other posts a couple of years about about this exact fatal issue for them? I gave you the exact search words.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

My friend got a letter from BW Legal (?) asking for £170 on behalf of the Group company! Should they write to them and say what they told Britannia regarding the lack of an entrance sign? Should they also mention that the Group have no right to request this money as they have no contract with the landowner?0

No. They only respond to a LBC as shown in the NEWBIES thread post 2.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
