Can anyone confirm this site is legit/for real? I can log in, but can't change my username - then am told I'm NOT logged in when I try to enter a comp, and a reset email tells me I am not registered, so then trying to register tells me my email is already being used!

I have just logged in and entered with no problem. Maybe try again today.
