I brought a used car on April 4th
It has recently developed a weird noise - I am fairly certain it is a wheel bearing that will need changing.
I have contacted the dealer to let them know.
I am certain they are going to say it is wear and tear.
The dealer is 95 miles away so cant just pop in.
What are my consumer rights in this situation?

If you want the dealer to address it under your consumer rights, you really need to take it to them so they can ascertain the problem. Or you could take it to a local garage to get a diagnosis and quote to fix, and take it from there.
An eight year old car that's done about 2,000 miles since purchase is likely to have a few squeaks and rattles develop. Most of that will be wear and tear.0 -
