Mortgage Deposit Saving and Need a New Car

C for me, the other avenue being a cheaper car and buying it outright. Unless you're after something particularly rare, powerful or a high minimum spec, you could get a decent car from a reputable or main dealer for half of what you're considering spending.
I take the view that spending a lot of money on a rapidly depreciating asset that you probably use for less than 10% of the week isn't a good idea.3 -
Mum, Dad, how many kids.
How far do you drive a week.
What size of car do you need.
Petrol, diesel or EV.12k should have a chain driven engine not wet belt.

@Bigwheels1111,
Apt user name, who knew cars could be so cheap, certainly not me!
Not had a car for a couple of years, since the swines I worked diligently years for decided that just because I had retired they would take the company car back
Perhaps time to stop relying on the Mrs.0 -
Thank you all for your sage advice and different view points on this.
Common theme is to keep the money in the bank, or varying degrees, to support the house purchase. Not one of the options I presented previously, but I take counsel from the responses and will certainly rethink the spend amount, or indeed if we spend at all right now.
Thanks all!3
