Where to buy americano coffee sachets?

Hi all

I am having trouble finding americano coffee instant sachets?  Can anyone maybe give me a link to a sainsburys etc to some as I can't find any. Need one that has 2 espressos in it, rather than just 1.

Anyone help appreciated.

I assume you are just looking for the higher quality instant coffee, there isn't such thing as instant made with two shots of espresso.

    Some possibilities are
Nescafe Azera Americano Instant Coffee 140g | Sainsbury's
Kenco Millicano Americano Instant Coffee 100g | Sainsbury's

    Thanks so helpful
So would 1 Tsp (1.8g) be the equivalent of 1 espresso ? And ofcourse 2 Tsp the equivalent of 2 expresso?
Like how starbucks a regular coffees has 2 expressos in it.

Personally I wouldn't make "espresso" out of instant coffee, but if this is what you want to do I think you should experiment and see if this is to your taste.

I suspect an espresso made in this way might be too thick, or if a stronger/ dark roast instant is used might be too much in terms of flavour.

If I was making a chocolate mousse, I might make up instant coffee in this way to add in but it would be diluted by the rest of the mousse ingredients.

Thanks. How do I know I am getting 2 expresso shots in my coffee when using instant coffee though? Or even getting any expresso shots? Starbucks use 2 expresso shots in their coffee. Thanks all

Why are you trying to recreate an espresso (not expresso) with instant? If you're after strong coffee I'd use the Nescafé espresso coffee.

Because the packet will tell you how to make a single or double expresso and then you just add the extra water to make it an americano. As with all instant coffee, dont expect it to be too close to properly made coffee.

There's always 0 espresso shots in instant coffee. They're different types of coffee. It's like asking how many chips are in a plate of mash - they're both potatoes, but they're not the same!

Is it just the caffeine content you're looking to emulate? If so just start with 2 spoons of instant, you can go up or down to get the desire caffeine kick. 1 teaspoon of instant is about 1 espresso in terms of caffeine.

    Why?

Instant coffee in principle is just coffee thats been made and then dried to leave a powder residue. Whilst most instant coffee base is brewed using a process similar to a cafetière  why do you think if they made expresso that it wouldnt dry into a powder in a similar drying process @Mnoee

Is it going to be as good as properly made coffee etc is a separate question

Part of the process of making an espresso, rather than a moka pot, a Cafetiere/French Press, a filter etc. is the high pressure which extracts the oils from the beans and creates the crema, with instant that is not there and cannot be replicated, although some claim to with additional foaming agents added.

So one cannot have "instant espresso", one can have "small strong coffee", some people will see those things as the same, some will view them as similar, others will not.
