Hello,
my dh has a credit card that is currently at £4,900 but it's with Barclays and it is at 24.9% apr. I think if we had a 0% credit card we could pay it of this year, the problem is, however, that dh has payed the card late a few times in the past (disorganised) - will that affect him getting a 0% card?
thanks for any info - new to all of this, new but determined....

One off late payments are not a huge concern to other creditors, however regular late payments are. How many and over what period of time are you talking about ? Have you obtained a copy of your credit report to see if all these late payments have been recorded ? It's possible they may not all have been recorded.
Too late now, but next time set up a DD for the minimum amount and you'll never be late again and it will save you the £12 penalty charges.
It's not necessarily going to stop you getting another card as there are many other factors taken into consideration. Nobody here will be able to say whether you'll get another card, all you can do is try.0 -
It's been maybe twice this year! I told him to sort the DD for ages... didn't think I could do it myself and low and behold I could so this is done!
I have no idea how to read a credit rating - I got one but I have no idea how to read it!0
