Parkingeye charge at Lidl, Barton Upon Humber at 7pm Sunday night

Hi Guys im not sure what i exactly need , buy i dropped my disabled grandson off home in hull on 1/6/25.

On way home his mum rang me from the USA, i couldn't hear a word she said so i pulled of the A15 and stopped in LIDLS car park for 35 mins, 18:52 to 19:28 pm. I carried on the conversation and left the place ..

I have just received a parking charge for £90 , or £ 45 if i pay straight away. i knew you couldn't stay for ages in a shop car park , but didn't realise you could not just pull in when the shop was closed and get charged.

it says :- The signage which is clearly displayed at the entrance to and throughout the car park, states that it is private land and that the car park is manage by parkingeye Ltd.In addition the signage states that, as a maximum stay car park a parking charge is applicable if the vehicle remains within the car park for longer than the 0 hours 0 minutes maximum stay time. The signage also contains further items and conditions associated with this car park by which those who park in the car park agree to be bound..

By remaining at the car park for longer than the stay authorised or with out authorisation , in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in the signage , the parking charge is now payable to parkingeye Ltd (as the creditor).

I feel a bit !!!!!! of by it, as the shop was closed, should i just pay or try fight it, ive looked on the forums and carnt really see any complaints like this one , so not to sure were i need to be as such

hopefully some one can steer me in the right direction please , cheers Mike

Ignore it and let it go to a small claim. That's what I'd do.

The latest scam idea of 'overnight trap' retail car parks aren't valid PCNs to be paid, IMHO. There's no legitimate interest in advertising 90 minutes free but having ten minutes in small print (I presume).

Try a complaint to Lidl. Otherwise ignore.

after talking to others i thought id send this it does have a little white lie with my brother
    whats your thoughts please

I dispute your 'parking charge', as the keeper of the vehicle. I deny any liability or contractual agreement and I will be making a complaint about your predatory conduct to your client landowner.

firstly the shop was closed and the vehicle wasnt parked, it stopped there . no body got out the van to park , like it states it stopped.

The vehicle stopped because my brother is diabetic and was feeling faint, and was on the verge of passing out. He had to check his sugar levels etc , then inject himself, wait for the suger levels to rise , before they moved on. they came of the A-15 duel carrigeway because it was far safer to stop of the main road then try and sort him self out oj the road. they are very sorry but it was a emergency and the car park was the first safe place to park.

They was going to stop on the rod to the garage but there was a huge truck there stopping that.

There are no signs stating do not park when the shop is closed any where!!!!!! , your signs are 7 foot high and the driver has 20/20 vision , but as they only stopped at the front of the car park they couldnt see them.

There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. Since your ref number is a vague template, I really think you need a big sign ststing no parking when the shop is shut.

    yours

No it won't work you have an invoice from greedy scammers allegedly protecting a landowners property when it is closed, and what ever you say you was parked.
However Parking Eye signage is rubbish some might say on purpose to trap you.
Also, this charge is sent under contract law, there was nothing on offer in any contract as no parking was allowed (offered) so they have nothing to charge you for, it was basically trespass and a parking company cannot charge you for trespass.
If they want to keep people out after hours they should install a barrier, but that won't scam money out of people will it!
There are hundreds of similar cases as this on here, there is no appeal service that's just a sham, the best resolution is the SCC.

Exceeding 0hours 0minutes is a no parking forbidding clause in my book. No consideration, no contract.

Don't bother sending that appeal. You could have a had a heart attack and they'd still tell you to pay. And they would have charged the paramedic who attended.

Definitely,  it would be extremely foolish not to

We are here to guide you through the whole saga, as is happening with hundreds of other victims and cases here

Come back to this thread if or when you receive a Letter of Claim giving you 30 days notice or an N1SDT Court claim pack from the CNBC in Northampton using MCOL within the next 6 years
