Help with DCBL

Options
Hi everyone. I’m really sorry about posting about DCBL “debt collectors” as I know you tell people to read the newbies section but I’ve confused myself and think I may have messed up. I did some work at a gym on a retail park in 2023 and kept receiving fines, most of which the gym owner sorted out for me. However I am still receiving letters and phone calls from DCBL about 2 fines on the same car park in 2023. I have been ignoring them for the most part. But to cut a story short I have rang them today (I’m trying to a get a mortgage and so I get worried about stuff like this affecting my credit score and my heads all over the place). During the call they asked me for my address and I gave them my new one however this wasn’t on his system, it was my old address and the letters are going there which I still have access too. It’s only after reading the newbies section I read NOT TO RING THEM and that them having 2 addresses which they now have is a bad thing and now I’m stumped what to do. It’s 2 £170 fines so £340. Stuff like this worries me and I just want it done with. Thank you in advance for any help.

Complain to the gym you're still being chased for two pcns from 2023 when you worked on their premises.

Decide which address you want the parking company and dcbl to use for service of letters and documents then email a Data Rectification Notice to both DPOs stating this and tell them to ERASE all other addresses. See NEWBIES 4th post Debt Recovery Stage changed address?

Another read of the NEWBIES will help you understand when and how your credit score can get affected....like if you fail to defend a court claim and a Judgement is awarded by default or you lost at court and you failed to pay by date stated.

Neither of these will happen if you follow advice given here and get your address sorted so you don't miss deadlines for any possible court claims.

It's bad that you phoned them but good that you gave them your new address. No harm done except they'll phone & bother you now!

But what on earth made you think DCB £170 threatograms could affect your mortgage? And what did you think a call to notorious DRA consumer-hunting aggressors would achieve?

Nothing CCJ related could have come of this unless you ignore a claim form.

DO NOT IGNORE A CLAIM FORM. Come back when it arrives. Easy to defend.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
