I have news, and it is GOOD news.

After a few phone calls from the senior complaints team at Yorkshire Water (who initially just repeated that I needed to contact Minster Baywatch, which they'd already said), I asked again for the details of who (from their legal team) would be present in court when Minster Baywatch took it there.

They took it away again and a few days later confirmed that their land and property team had contacted Minster and are having the invoice cancelled. The complaints person was Josh. I've asked Yorkshire Water for a written confirmation of that before they close the complaint.

I want to say a massive thanks to all of the MSE forumites for helping guide me on the various pitfalls and processes. You've been great.

Nice one, well done on your resolve and tenacity. The 'who's gonna represent you in court' sometimes works with those who don't know their way around the court system, so always worth a shot (as it has here). 👍
