    Hello Again!

Update: We have been bounced around from court to court (local to me) at DCB action, and look to have settled on Stockport Crown court which is 1hr away from me, and also part of a Block Listed claim. I have to file a defense with the court and claimant by end of March. Do I / can I push back on court chosen?

Is this essentially the same defense I have already filed together with the additions of court contempt, true facts stated etc acknowledgement, or is it a new declaration to file? Witness = zero so will just be from me.

There is also a court fee of £27 but this is from the claimant?

Thanks for reading - any help offered is greatly appreciated.

Who or what is DVB behest . ?

Presumably you asked for your local civil court on your N180 so which court is that. ?

Do you know why its gone to Stockport. ? ( and not to your local civil court. ? )

Your defence was filed months ago, so unless the judge orders it, you cannot change it, so its unlikely that you have to file or change your defence

The claimant or their lawyers involved pay the £27 fee, so what is that deadline date ?

Please Edit your thread title to something more suitable like

Apologies - Typo. Currently under a lot of pressure elsewhere and this is adding to it. Typing and accuracy is starting to be an issue.

Initial court chosen was Stoke on Trent 12th Dec 25 / defence filed etc

22nd Jan - court transferred to crewe on order dated 15th jan - anonymous

10th Feb - court transferred back to SOT order dated 2nd Jan - Judge ordered

13th Feb - court transferred to Stockport order dated 12th Feb - anonymous

4th March - N157 received - Small claims track / Judge Huddersman ordered

Weirdly, MCOL shows none of this and no other communication or detail

deadline date is 4pm 30th march

    Thanks

Nothing weird about it, MCOL transferred the case to SoT court and from that point had no further involvement, because the Business Centre handed everything over to an actual court to be dealt with

DCB legal won't be involved in that ping pong, you are assuming stuff

You could write to Stockport civil court asking for the case to go back to Stoke or maybe another closer one like Stafford if they have one. ?

    Or

You leave it alone and expect DCB LEGAL to discontinue before the hearing fee is due ( so I ask again, what date is that deadline. ? )

MCOL is merely the CNBC admin record at the beginning and nothing updates once the CNBC allocate a claim out.

You don't need to object to the court because the hearing won't take place. All Group Nexus hearings are vacated when DCB Legal inevitably discontinue!

But to prompt that, you need to file and serve your WS and evidence (which obviously ISN'T the same thing as the defence).

You have the deadline(s) on page 2 of the hearing order.

You also should already know exactly what a WS and exhibits look like, from when you read the 2nd post of NEWBIES PLEASE READ THESE FAQS FIRST. I sometimes think that I wrote that section and the recommended exhibits list pointlessly because nobody seems to read it!

PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

One or more of those dates is incorrect, probably the last one. !

Due to Easter, I suggest that you get your WS bundle emailed before the 2nd April, UNLESS you receive the N279 discontinuation document in your email inbox or spam folder before the hearing fee deadline date
