Vinted refund

I have been using vinted successfully for over 1 year. I recently purchased an item for £36 a bicycle helmet. The seller did not post (due to being in hospital) and vinted sent me a message stating a would be refunded the full amount between 6th to 9th June. I never received the money. They asked for copies of my bank statements which I reluctantly agreed and sent, they now say they cannot investigate any further unless I prove I bought the item! I'm baffled as their own site shows me buying it. However many messages I send with screenshots of their own page showing the transaction, they keep sending the same cut and paste response they cannot investigate further as I'm not following the policy!? They refuse to send me their bank statements showing proof they actually refunded me! I'm.going around in circles, yes it's only a relatively small amount of money, but it's my money... Any advice please?

Bank & chargeback for non receipt. Just say you never received.

If refund is via debit/credit. Ask Vinted for the acquirer reference number ARN & give that to you bank to trace, along with the amount & date of refund. They will be able to check visa/mastercard system for it being refunded.

Vinted will not be able to send bank statements, as staff will not have access to these.

No.

I would only buy a bike helmet direct from a physical store.  I wouldn't trust RM or any other courier not to damage it whether new or not.
