I admit that my post about rebalancing wasn't entirely innocent. I might have been trying to highlight the issues that arise when you have a poorly performing managed fund and what to do about it. My cleaving to broad index trackers is an effort to minimize those worries more than it is to get investment gains.

And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.
