I admit that my post about rebalancing wasn't entirely innocent. I might have been trying to highlight the issues that arise when you have a poorly performing managed fund and what to do about it. My cleaving to broad index trackers is an effort to minimize those worries more than it is to get investment gains. So my advice would be the same as always ie put the money into an index fund. Depending on your circumstances that might global equity, dividend equities, developed world, bonds and gilts, so still lots of decisions to make, but more at the strategic level.
And so we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past.0
