Hi I submitted my defence and received an auto reply acknowledging receipt of my email. But I still haven’t received any letters or further communication. Should I chase up?

No. Just check MCOL to see if it is showing. You already know the next steps because it's all explained in the Template Defence thread.

  • Hi I have a mediation hearing soon. I think I know what to do after reading this forum. But I just want to check my risk of getting a CCJ if DCB do proceed to a hearing. If they do proceed and the hearing goes in their favour will I get a CCJ?

Not if you pay dcb legal the full amount decided by the judge as soon as possible after the hearing,  definitely within say 28 days, full payment means that it would be expunged, gone

I would suggest that you pay it within a week,  if it happened

More likely that dcb legal will discontinue just before the hearing fee deadline,  because no payment means no hearing , so perhaps in 6 months time

No. There is zero CCJ risk because if you lost, you'd pay LESS THAN THE CLAIM!

And (unless this is VCS, Excel or TPS) they won't take it to a hearing. It's not what they do: you are not the prey they seek.  Who is the Claimant PPC?

    Done the Public Consultation yet?

    FIGHTBACK ALERT:

Please do the government's Public Consultation. We need every poster to complete this vital survey before the deadline next week.

    See this thread:

    https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/6617396/parking-code-of-practice-consultation-now-extended-closes-friday-26th-september/p1

We understand that you may need some pointers. It looks laborious, we get that. It doesn't matter; no knowledge is needed except re your own experiences so you can call out a scam industry and you'll protect millions of motorists and help change the law.

I've written some guidance to help focus new posters on the issues. I've covered almost every question, providing ideas if you agree with our stance on things like DRFs, which we say must be banned.

Ordinary people like you are falling victim to this scam over 18 million times per annum. Motorists need your voice added please.

    CLOSES ON FRIDAY 26th SEPTEMBER.

There are two dozen other Smart Parking claim threads linked on page 14 of the Public Consultation thread I linked above. Read a few - you are not alone but this is the easy End Game.

All the Smart claim cases linked in p14 there are around your stage and all will be discontinued because DCB Legal's model doesn't want people who defend!

Anyway, if you want to make a difference please take a couple of hours this weekend to do the Public Consultation.

This is your chance to help change the law.
