Hello,
I'm looking for a double room for Tuesday 19th February in Liverpool (either close to the trainstation or stadium).
Any reccommendation?

    Try this website: http://www.liverpool.com

The Marriott and The Holiday Inn are both very near to Lime Street station. Which event are you going to? If Football both Anfield and Goodison are only about 2-3 miles from the city centre. If you are going to the new arena this is near the Albert Dock and is about a 10 minute walk from the Station.

    Hope this helps

I'm going to watch :footie: at Anfield (Liverpool vs Inter Milan). Never been to Liverpool so no idea how big the city is. Ideally would be an hotel well connected (bus) to the stadium.

    Thanks for your help.

  • You'd be better staying in Liverpool City Centre - Anfield is about twenty five mins walk, or five/ten minutes on a bus.

I used to live in Anfield and theres not a huge amount to do there of an evening, though it did have some of the most 'unique' pubs I've every been in [this was about six years ago], so you'd be better in the centre I'd think.

The Marriott and The Holiday Inn as suggested above are very close to the train station and to the bus route. Stayed in the Marriott last summer and highly recommend it if you can get some kind of deal on the room.

I think there is also a premiertravelinn in the centre [theres also one at albert dock which is more scenic but about fifteen minutes out of the city centre] and I think theres a comfort inn in the centre too...

This is another website that may be useful. If you stay in the City Centre [Liverpool 1] you can catch a bus from the Bus Station in Queens Square which is opposite Lime St Station. I would not recommend the Britannia Adelphi as it is rather run down. I have done a quick search on availability for 19/2/08 and there does not appear to be a lot of rooms. The Blackbourne Arms comes up @£79.00 for a luxury double room. This is a boutique hotel near Liverpool University about a 10 minute walk from the station. It has quite good reviews.

I stayed at The Liner when I was playing football in Liverpool last June. It has the honour of being the only themed hotel in Liverpool.

As for the theme it is an ocean liner.

    Very surreal.

    Very nice though.

  • For hotels near Liverpool FC and Everton visit MATCHhotels.com - the site price compares Liverpool hotels and shows you where they all are on a map. Click the price you like to book the room!

thank you all for your answers

I will go with nanamags suggestion to book at the Blackbourne Arms. Most of the other suggested hotels are either fully booked or too expensive.

Now I just have to hope Inter Milan wins to have a nice time

    Thanks again!!!
