They must be getting desperate! I offered £1 at that stage, they didn't take it.

saves me the time and effort on going to court. You've already done all the stuff that required time and effort! (Mostly the defence & witness statement)
DCB Legal would have never let this go all the way to a hearing, that was a last ditch attempt by them to get something before they discontinued.
It's only £10 so no big loss, but is it too late to change your mind? (I'm genuinely interested, for anyone who knows to answer, whether agreeing a settlement verbally over the phone like this is binding?)
Edit: I just reread and see that it has already been paid, so my last question is somewhat moot!

@HoneydewLemon it totally get your point but the time it saves me to spend all day in court lose a day of work, my wife has to come with as its in her name etc etc, childcare too! and its xmas party season in december so rather give them the tenner lol!!

I didn't mean to come across too negative, I'm sure you won't lose too much sleep over a tenner!
Enjoy your xmas party season and congrats for seeing them off & putting it all behind you!

Email them for a copy of their N279 discontinuation document, seeing as you agreed to the £10 settlement and paid it
They should notify the court that the matter is settled "out of court "
